Use your own proxy

Only if your domain runs through your own proxy or CDN, like Cloudflare with the orange cloud. Most businesses skip this.

   Turn on proxy mode

   Open Domain. Once your domain is Live, under “Optional — your own proxy”, turn on “My domain runs through my own proxy”.

   Create a proxy key

   Press Create proxy key, then Create key. If your proxy isn't Cloudflare, or you use a Cloudflare Worker, first turn on “My proxy passes the visitor's address itself”. Copy the key now — you won't see it again.

   Add the key to your proxy

   Make your proxy send the key in the header X-Hailera-Edge-Key on every request to your agent. On Cloudflare, use a Request Header Transform Rule. A Worker or another proxy also sends X-Hailera-Visitor-IP with the visitor's address.

   Check it's active

   When requests arrive with the key, Domain shows Live · via your proxy.
